Focus on Special Delta Gamma Members...

 

Marilyn Komechak Gilbert - Fort Worth DG member is a published author of Paisano Pete Snake-Killer Bird. Her book is about a roadrunner that lives on a Texas ranch. Marilyn communicates a wide variety of facts about roadrunners in a fun story! Congratulations to Marilyn for this wonderful achievement. Marilyn is a retired psychologist and now writing books. Her book can be purchased by Eakin Press at www.eakinpress.com  Oklahoma Writers’ Federation’s “Best Juvenile Book of 2004”. 

 

Update February 2007- Marilyn and another writer have been asked by DNA Productions to write a children's screenplay for animation, based on Marilyn's children's book, Paisano Pete. It is set in South Texas on a ranch and is about a roadrunner (Pete) and a young girl. She also has several other books which will be forthcoming in the future. Marilyn has also been named to Who's Who in America for the 2008 edition.

 

 

Gina Baxter-  a long time member of Fort Worth DG alumnae is the owner of one of Fort Worth's largest antique book businesses. Gina is the owner of Gina Baxters Treehouse Books and Antiques.
