Want to Plan a Delta Gamma Reunion?

Reunions are one of the best ways to help keep us bonded to our special Delta Gamma sisters! They help tie us to our past collegiate/Delta Gamma experience and keep us linked to our DG sisters! Gamma Tau and Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter would love for you to plan a GT reunion soon!

 Planning a Reunion is easy!

  • Determine who will plan the reunion- this can be as simple as one DG or can be a committee who will handle different jobs.

  • Determine who will attend your reunion- if this will just be your new member (pledge) class or if you will include other Delta Gammas from other classes.

  • Determine the “when and where”- your reunion can take place during a school event such as Homecoming or you might choose to have it in the summer when school is not in session. You might choose to meet at the chapter house or you might consider a hotel, resort or condo in a city of your choosing. This reunion might be just for the day or might be a weekend event.

  • Develop your invitation list- you must collect current addresses. Addresses can be located using the current Delta Gamma Directory. Another good source is to use the current University Directory that most universities publish. If you have defined your DG list to a particular “new member class” (pledge class) year or years then you can request addresses from Delta Gamma. (There might be a small fee)

  • Develop a budget- you should collect enough money to pay for the entire reunion. You must determine the cost of lodging, meals, printing flyers or invitations. Other expenses might include: prizes, phone calls, DG songs, nametags, film for pictures, postage, and the printing of addresses and follow-up news. All attendees will need an explanation of expenses to be incurred.

  • Develop a good email list- this can save you lots of money as you can send all the invitations, addresses and newsletters by email to those with email. Then you will only have to mail to those with no email. A good email list can help with your communications and promotion of your reunion to ensure you have a successful event.

  • Plan your Reunion- a good reunion will be planned from morning until evening. You will need some sort of schedule whether it is intensive or more loosely put together. Start early with you’re planning and make sure to publicize in advance.

  • Have fun and enjoy your sisters! You will renew old friendships and will make new friendships.

  • It would be wonderful if every DG new member class would strive to hold a reunion every five years. Think how nice it would be to maintain a close relationship with your sisters throughout your life…
